About the Role

As a Global Leader in material handling automation, Daifuku continues to experience rapid growth. The current opportunity is for an experienced Mechanical Technician to be part of our team responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs and preventative maintenance on the Material Handling System (MHS).

The Team

The Daifuku team at Erskine Park, Sydney, is supportive, inclusive and with a great team environement.

Your Responsibilities will include

  • Ensure that materials handling system and other onsite infrastructure is operational, and issues are rectified safely, quickly and efficiently.
  • Performing diagnostic tests on the material handling systems.
  • Following the mechanical maintenance plans to prevent equipment breakdowns.
  • Troubleshooting mechanical malfunctions and breakdowns, as well as perform the necessary repairs to restore to full functionality.
  • Support the clearance of fault and materials jams.
  • Schedule maintenance tasks

About you

You'll be looking to join a team that is invested in your success and your future. Your qualifications and experience will include

  • Trade qualification in mechanical industry
  • Prior experience working through preventative maintenance schedules
  • Knowledge of fault diagnostic systems, processes and repairs
  • Experience in mechanical drives, including gearboxes, conveyor belting.
  • Experience in pneumatics and Hydraulics including Solenoid Valves, cylinders and flow regulators.
  • Have a strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand mechanical assembly drawings.
