Business Solutions Engineer - Aviation

Summary

The Business Solutions Engineering position is part of our Business Solutions Team operating within the Aviation Business Unit, responsible for developing new business and supporting project delivery in the Australasian region.

About the Role

As a passionate Business Solutions Engineer, you're engineering and AutoCAD experience is key to this opportunity, working together as a team to drive client satisfaction and growth globally.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • In collaboration with the Solution Design Engineer and Business Solutions Manager, develop system concepts, detailed layouts of baggage handling systems and support the execution of projects undertaken by Daifuku Oceania
  • Analyse and interpret customer data to be applied to solution design concepts
  • Support the development of the Safety In Design reviews
  • Assist Engineering team to design and revise new and existing components for Baggage Handling Systems
  • Own the development of material lists for sales workbook and tender documents
  • Review of compliance matrices and client requirements to validate solution suitability
  • Check CAD Drawings, specifications and documentation delivered to client
  • Develop manuals and documentation for new technologies
  • Complete site visits to advise on installation
  • Attend project handover meetings

Skills & Experience

As a Business Solutions Engineer, you'll be looking to join a team that is invested in your success and your future.

Your qualifications and experience will include:

  • An Engineering and/or technology degree.
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar system design role
  • Proven experience using 3D AutoCAD or similar
  • Experience analysing requirements and preparing solutions in conjunction with customers
  • Strong communications skills, ability to build and maintain cross functional team relationships
  • Data processing and analysis skills
  • Exceptional skills in interpreting, manipulating, and updating complex spread sheets
  • Proficient in Microsoft Access
