We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to drive the Operations & Maintenance function in Redbank, Brisbane. In this key site leadership role, you will manage relationships with key stakeholders, maximise performance and output reporting to the Performance Manager Intralogistics New South Wales/ Queensland

About the role

With a focus on continuous improvement, you'll be responsible for ensuring:

  • Pro-active day to day supervision and administration of all operational activities
  • Ensuring cost-effective and operationally efficient rostering, fostering a collaborative team environment, promoting Daifuku's safety absolutes and values
  • Provide operational team leadership, training, support and development
  • Represent Daifuku and build strong relationships with customers, customer representatives and stakeholders
  • Collaborate with Daifuku teams to continually provide improvement initiatives
  • Prepare and present Operational and Maintenance reports
  • Ensure the system is operational and issues are rectified safely, quickly and efficiently
  • Ensuring preventative maintenance requirements are met, as per contractual requirements
  • Manage the budget, KPI's and parts management
  • Engaging with key business partners to identify and implement smart maintenance technology
  • Accurately administrate staff records, audits, Workplace Health Safety reports and all other relevant management reporting

About You

To succeed in this role, you'll be used to working in a fast-paced business where flexibility is required to support 24/7 operations. You will have the capacity to switch between operational and strategic thinking and be recognised as on safety champion.

  • Tertiary or Trade qualifications in either Electrical or Mechanical
  • Previous experience in an operational management or supervisory position
  • Sound technical understanding of Material Handling Systems or high-speed processing environments
  • Proactive, calm and innovative approach to complex problem-solving
  • Proven team leadership and teamwork skills
  • Financial Management/ Budget Management experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels, building and maintaining relationships
