This position is based with our team at Enfield Park and work closely with our team based at Erskine Park. This team's responsibility is to ensure the smooth operations of the site's materials handling system. The teams report to the Performance Manager Intralogistics New South Wales/ Queensland and has a strong focus on Health and Safety and teamwork. Think Safe Act Safe Home Safe

About the Role

The current opportunity is for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to be part of our team responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairs and maintenance on our material handling System (MHS).

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensure the system is operational, and issues are rectified safely, quickly and efficiently.
  • Perform diagnostic tests on the material handling system
  • Perform mechanical preventative maintenance
  • Troubleshoot mechanical malfunctions and breakdowns, perform repairs to restore the system to full functionality
  • Check freight data on SCADA system
  • Monitor the availability of spare parts
  • Support the clearance of fault and materials jams
  • Use the onsite MEX maintenance schedule
  • Zero Injuries - Safety First approach

About you

To contribute to your success, you will have:

  • A mechanical trade qualification
  • Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical installations, maintenance and repairs.
  • Experience in mechanical drives, including gearboxes, conveyor belting
  • Experience in pneumatics and Hydraulics including Solenoid Valves, cylinders and flow regulators.
  • Experience in pneumatics and Hydraulics, Solenoid valves, cylinders and flow regulators
  • Technical understanding of automated control systems in a Materials Handling Systems or high-speed processing environment
  • Have a strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand mechanical assembly drawings.
