About the Role

Representing Daifuku on a key customer site in Tullamarine, the immediate opportunity is for a Site Supervisor to coordinate and manage operations and maintenance of the Materials Handling System. The primary purpose will be to ensure effective system and service delivery to meet and exceed contractual agreements and customer expectations.

Proactively supervising and guiding a collaborative team, you will be responsible for

  • Ensuring operational effectiveness of the materials handling system and related infrastructure, aligning services with key performance standards and commercial objectives
  • Assisting with effective, cost-focused management and resourcing of a rostered team environment
  • Ensuring regular training and development to build team capability
  • Monitoring and reporting on system performance
  • Prompt rectification of any operational or maintenance issues
  • Coordinating and liaising with customer personnel on site, ensuring prompt resolution of queries or system issues
  • Monitoring and reporting on system performance
  • Programming and monitoring scheduled maintenance
  • Completion of accurate and timely documentation and reporting relating to MHS activities, including rostering and maintenance scheduling
  • Being an advocate for health and safety
  • Professional representation of Daifuku in all contacts across the client site, including adherence to client policies and procedures on the site

About you

A qualified and experienced Technician by background, your experience will include team leadership. You'll have a sound technical understanding of automated control systems in a materials handling, manufacturing, or high-speed processing environment. You have a commitment to excellent customer service and a safety-first attitude.

  • Demonstrated understanding of Freight operational systems
  • A logical approach to trouble-shooting and decision making
  • Ability to lead, motivate and delegate tasks within the team
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels, including explaining technical concepts
  • A commercial approach, to be alert to company objectives while coordinating day-to-day activities
