About the Role

Our team in Tullamarine is looking for an experienced Mechanical Technician to join them. The team is responsible to ensure the onsite material handling system and freight infrastructure is operational, identifying and rectifying issues safely and efficiently.

Working 40 hours per week on alternating weekly shifts, 5 am to 1 pm and 1 pm to 9 pm, responsible for:

• Perform diagnostic tests on the material handling systems.
• Following the mechanical maintenance plans to prevent equipment breakdowns.
• Troubleshooting mechanical malfunctions and breakdowns, as well as perform the necessary repairs to restore to full functionality.
• Support the clearance of fault and materials jams.
• Schedule maintenance schedules using the MEX System.
• Use the SCADA system to monitor

About you

Ideally you will have the following:

• Trade qualification in mechanical or related industry
• Experience with mechanical drives, including gearboxes, conveyor belting, mechanical engineering designs.
• Previous experience working with pneumatics and hydraulics including solenoid valves, cylinders and flow regulators.
• Understanding of automated control systems, working in a planned maintenance environment.
• Ability to work alternating shifts (Mon - Fri) 40 hours per week.
