Daifuku Oceania, a global leader in automation, is seeking an experienced System Support Engineer to become a key member of our dedicated Customer Care team based in Kuala Lumpur.

About the Role

As a System Support Engineer, you will provide technical assistance and support for Daifuku customer sites and other clients as directed by management. This role requires participation in a 24/7 roster to ensure seamless operation and maintenance of our PLC systems and IT support. Ensure optimal system performance by troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving technical issues with strong experience on either PLC Support or IT Support. Conduct system health checks, PLC troubleshoot and generate reports. Liaise with customers, providing exceptional service and quality support.

Our Team

Joining the Daifuku Customer Care MY Team means becoming part of a supportive and knowledgeable environment. Our team works in a 3 different shift pattern; Office hours, AM Shift and PM Shift. This position is primarily office-based, with the option to work from home outside of office hours.

Responsibilities

In this role, your main focus will be in these areas:

  • Providing remote support with troubleshooting methodologies and tools.
  • IT Support: Help with hardware, software, and network issues; manage IT systems and incident management.
  • PLC Support: Troubleshoot PLC issues, perform routine maintenance, and install/configure PLC systems.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and assist with various engineering tasks, including design calculations and testing.

Your Skills & Experience

  • Strong diagnostic skills and understanding of logs analysis.
  • Experience with ITSM tools for incident management.
  • Networking knowledge and experience with various operating systems.
  • Proven experience in remote support and troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Experience with broad range of technologies - Servers, Desktop, Networking, Embedded Processing, Security.

Or:

  • Proficiency in PLC programming languages (e.g., Ladder Logic).
  • Setting up PLC hardware, configuring I/O modules, and integrating PLCs with sensors, actuators, and other industrial equipment.
  • Familiarity with PLC software and SCADA systems is a plus.

Desirable

  • Relevant certifications in PLC programming or IT support (e.g., CompTIA A+, ITIL, any PLC programming certifications)
  • Basic programming skills (MS SQL Server)
