Be part of the team ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of the materials handling system at our Truganina site in Melbourne.
As a Global Leader in material handling automation, Daifuku continues to experience rapid growth. We have this opportunity for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to be part of the crew responsible for maintaining and conducting preventative maintenance on materials handling equipment, systems and services.
About the Role
Our current opportunity provide the opportunity to work autonomously alongside a committed client team, your responsibilities will include:
- Ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of the Materials Handling System.
- Ensure all operational issues are rectified in a quick, professional and safe manner.
- Ensure the maintenance tasks are carried out on schedule and that all work for maintenance and fault rectification is accurately recorded.
- Be alert to the safety of self and others and ensuring adherence to all policies and procedures.
- Attending breakdown maintenance.
About you:
You'll be looking to join a team that is invested in your success and your future. Your qualifications and experience will include -
- Proven experience as an Electrical Maintenance Technician working in automated Distribution Centers and Warehousing
- Full, unrestricted A grade electrical license with a knowledge of mechanical systems
- Sound technical understanding of automated control systems in a Materials Handling Systems (MHS) or high-speed processing environment.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts in plain language as well as and to build and maintain relationships with internal and external parties.
- Experience with PLC fault-finding, SCADA systems and ASibus
- Understanding of ASibus or similar controls
- Basic understanding of networking and IP addressing
- Ability to work with client operational schedules, Monday to Friday (some overtime may be required)
- A safety-first approach
- Requirement for a current and clear driver's licence
- Ability to obtain an ASIC card (optional)
