Installation Supervisor

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced individual to join our team at Auckland Airport in the role of Installation Supervisor.

This a varied role in which you will support the project and site manager with the supervision of contractors conducting installation and decommissioning works, as well as assistance with work planning and scheduling in Baggage Handling Conveyance Systems, Passenger Boarding Bridges, and Terminal Building Services. Your other tasks will be to coordinate with suppliers and customers alike.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Working with and providing site support to the Site Manager, Project Manager, and Health and Safety representatives
  • Ensuring compliance of contractors and DOC employees with site safety regulations and processes
  • Reviews of SWMS/JSA's to ensure suitability to tasks
  • Using design documentation and drawings.
  • Assisting the Site Manager with site progress tracking tools to monitor the progress of sub-contractors in accordance with the main project schedule
  • Providing clear direction to sub-contractors on site and reporting any issues or delays immediately to the Site Manager
  • Site investigations and reporting of data to the Site Manager
  • Supervision of subcontractors ensuring adherence with contract requirements
  • Assisting the Site Manager with site QA ensuring installation testing is thoroughly carried out, recorded and signed off
  • Ensuring works is carried out in accordance with specifications
  • Assisting the Site Manager with site design, including co-ordination of services, establishment of cable routes, positioning of equipment etc

About you

With a hands-on technical approach and experience ideally across aviation, logistics, warehousing or distribution centers with the ability to work shifts are essential, you will have excellent communication skills and a can-do attitude.

You will have:

  • Trade qualification in either mechanical or electrical background with relevant experience
  • Technically competent in using Microsoft Word, Excel
  • Ability to develop and implement solutions
  • Competence in reading and understanding detailed design documentation
  • Be able to work in a highly secured area and able to obtain ASIC
  • Qualification in safety or an airside drive permit or forklift license is desirable
