Performance Manager Regional Airports

A newly created, senior position that will work across various client groups in the aviation industry. This position will be at the front line of Daifuku Oceania, supporting multiple airports and working within the airport community.

This role will help to ensure that we grow the operations and maintenance scope whilst focusing on customer service excellence. This role will also interface with multi-million-dollar projects and the opportunity to travel and visit our airport sites around our network.

About the Role

As the allocated Performance Manager of Regional Airports, you will lead a fantastic team in all operations and maintenance functions. Having a growth mindset, you will support and be actively involved with all port activities to ensure the effective and efficient management of your team and the customer.

This role can be based in Brisbane or Melbourne.

About You

You will understand that successful leadership is based on good operational discipline, excellent leadership, and relationship skills to get the best out of your operations and maintenance teams.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Engagement with Port Managers, Port Supervisors, and client representatives to ensure the smooth and effective running of Operations and Maintenance through all Aviation sites.

Ensuring that:

  • The Baggage Handling Systems (BHS) and other infrastructure incorporated in the contract for services operate in a manner that matches or exceeds the performance standards required by our client as measured by the contract's Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
  • The operation delivers the standards of profitability, quality outcomes, safety levels, and personnel management required by Daifuku OC
  • That the fulfillment of the contracted services is conducted in a manner consistent with applicable WorkCover guidelines providing a safe working environment for all staff, visitors, public, and stakeholders

As a successful Performance Manager of Regional Airports, you will understand that successful project delivery is based on good project discipline and excellent leadership and relationship skills to get the best out of installation teams.

In addition, you be able to demonstrate:

  • Safety first approach
  • Understand large projects and be able to ensure an interface between your team and the delivery
  • Proven track record in commercial contract negotiations
  • Understanding of automated control systems in a Baggage Handling Systems (BHS) or high-speed processing environment
  • The ability to lead and work within a team environment

  • The ability to organise and chair meetings
  • Proven ability to work with all internal business partners
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines
