About the Role

As a Global Leader in material handling automation & Airport BHS, Daifuku continues to experience rapid growth. Reporting to the Project Director, as part of our Projects Team you will be responsible for the project management of the projects scope of works inclusive of Scope Management, Budget Control, Head Contract Scheduling, Subcontractor Management, Supply Chain Management, Quality Control, and Commissioning of the works.

Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:

  • Facilitate the development of FDS
  • Ensuring all aspects of the Scope of Works are closed out to the satisfaction of the Client's Representative
  • Maintain close, mutually supportive relationships with colleagues across the business
  • Oversight of project team assigned to projects.
  • To actively manage project budget, cost reporting, cash flow, progress claims, invoicing, payments, provisional sums, and variation account
  • To actively manage subcontract packages inclusive of scope definition, documentation, subcontractor tender evaluation, letting of packages, formulation of subcontract documentation, payment approvals, variation management and account administration
  • Regular external reporting to Client's Representative inclusive of provision of regular progress reports.

About You

You will have a track record of successfully delivering time bound projects, preferably within a highly regulated industrial environment (e.g., aviation, materials handling, warehousing/logistics or automotive). You will understand that successful project delivery is based on good project discipline and excellent stakeholder management skills. You will be respected by your peers for your "no surprises" attitude to service and exceptional organisational skills.

In addition;

  • Experience in the design and construction of Mechanical and/or Electrical/Controls system, with a good working knowledge of both disciplines.
  • An ability to communicate effectively at all levels and to build and maintain relationships with internal and external parties.
  • Good commercial acumen with contractual experience
