About the Role

Due to a growth in our business, we are seeking an experienced individual to join our team as a Site Manager.

You will partner with our client from the early stages and as such will form a pivotal relationship between them and all internal and external stakeholders. As the Site Manager, you will have oversight on all areas which will include that quality, standards, resources, risk, governance and budget costs are managed and met within appropriate timelines.

Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:

  • Manage the day to day requirements of the site
  • Manage suppliers and customers whilst performing site management duties
  • Regular travel requirements, long periods away from home during installation periods
  • Ensure all data, documentation and information is recorded and filed
  • Develop project plans that encompass the client's needs with reference to the proposed automated system that they are seeking to implement
  • Prepare various reports and documents for both internal and external stakeholders
  • Represent Daifuku BCS at various meetings with the client
  • Review change requests to the project work scope on a regular basis
  • Provide value added propositions and customer focused solutions

About You

  • Able to speak and understand Mandarin
  • Current experience as a Site Manager on large and complex automated handling projects which includes aviation, materials handling, warehousing and logistics industries
  • Expertise with automated systems and solutions i.e. conveyor technology is desirable
  • Demonstrated skills in developing competitive and diverse site management plans
  • Solid expertise in report writing skills, detailed analysis / proposals incorporating cost benefit and value added propositions
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills
  • Mechanical / electrical trade experience
  • Firm understanding of new technologies
  • Desire to deliver high quality installations globally
  • Effective leadership style with a bias for action
